The location is perfect for discovering Porto and only a short walk to the Funicular that takes you down to river level if you have had enough of the hilly streets. Our room was quite small but had a balcony overlooking the square which was delightful. We don't normally expect hotel restaurants to be of a particularly high standard but the restaurant here was exceptionally good and we dined there twice. Live music in the bar later one night was good too - a very talented guitarist. Staff were very helpful. We will stay again if we revisit Porto.

The hotel was great. Even though a vehicle cannot stop in front of the hotel, the curbside location around the corner was convenient enough that carrying our luggage to the front door was a problem. The hotel is also a convenient walk to dining, shopping, the river and other sites. The room was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel and would stay there again. Staff was very friendly and informative. The welcome glass of port was a nice surprise, and being able to borrow umbrellas came in handy the day it rained.

Excellent Hotel with friendly and professional staff. Very attentive. The hotel reached out in advance of our arrival to inquiry about any special needs we may have and whether we needed information about Oporto. Very modern rooms and facilities in an 18th century building. The location could not have been better. Family suite was large and the bathroom spacious including full bath and separate shower. We loved our stay and will certainly return on our next visit to Oporto.

Our room was very spacious, with a balcony and great views of the Batalha square and toward the river. Super clean and well maintained. Breakfast was v.good. The location is top -- allowing you to walk to many places. The hop-on-hop-off bus stop is right around the corner. The Luis I Bridge is around 5-7 mins walk, around 20 mins walk to Livraria Lello. For healthier food options Honest Greens in Santa Catarina street appears to be the closest and v.affordable.

I did not realise however how hilly the area is! We had room only and the room was spacious, spotlessly clean and airy. The bathroom was lovely and again, spotless.
